Technology investor Value Creation Capital sold the Dutch managed security services provider ION-IP to Belgian telecom and IT group Proximus.
ION-IP offers managed security services, implementation and consultancy services and security products to the top 500 companies in the Netherlands including Ziggo, KLM and Wehkamp. The company employs highly skilled security experts and has Platinum partnership status with Palo Alto Networks and the Guardian and Gold partnership with F5 Networks. In recent years ION-IP has experienced strong growth with a clear focus on managed security services.
Proximus, one of the leaders in the Belgian IT security market, is further extending its capabilities in the Netherlands. Through its subsidiary Telindus, the company provides IT infrastructure and datacentre solutions in the Netherlands and Belgium. The acquisition of ION-IP perfectly fits with Proximus’ ambition to become a digital service provider and accelerates Proximus’ development in the security market for the enterprise segment.
